Our adventure begins in Delhi, where we'll meet our fellow solo travellers over dinner and a welcome drink. The next day, we kick things off with a rickshaw ride through the lively streets of Old Delhi, immersing ourselves in the vibrant colours and sounds of its bustling markets, before taking in the capital's top sights. In Agra, we'll marvel at the Taj Mahal, the world's most famous monument to love. In Jaipur, we'll tour the striking Amber Fort in the Pink City, before heading to Jodhpur to explore the iconic Blue City and its hilltop Mehrangarh Fort. We'll also discover the enchanting city of Udaipur, often called the "Venice of the East" for its romantic lakeside setting and stunning water palaces. In order to preserve the beauty and integrity of the iconic monument, the Taj Mahal, cleaning and restoration work is ongoing at this site. Some phases of the restoration involve scaffolding and mud treatment, thus a clear view of the entire monument may not be possible.

Delhi Guided Tour - Transfer to Agra
Delhi Delights Raj Ghat, Sikh Temple & More
Rise and shine! This morning on our full day we explore the sights of Old Delhi, beginning with an exciting cycle rickshaw ride through the lively local markets, a wonderful way to experience the buzz of the city.
Next, we visit Raj Ghat, the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, and view Jama Masjid from the outside, the largest mosque in India. We also see the beautiful Humayun's Tomb, an early example of Mughal architecture.
During our drive, we pass India Gate, the president's residence (former Viceroy's Palace, Parliament House and more. We finish with a visit to the Bangla Sahib Sikh temple, where we learn about its inspiring community kitchen.
In the afternoon we depart Delhi by coach for Agra. Our journey will take approximately four and a half hours (240km) with a few comfort stops. Sit back and relax as we take in the change of scenery.

We have arrived in Agra! We check in to our hotel and settle in for the evening.
Agra - Taj Mahal - Agra Fort & Afternoon Tea
Discover Agra Fort & The Beauty of Taj Mahal
This morning we experience Agra, starting with the magnificent Agra Fort, a UNESCO listed masterpiece of Mughal architecture. We admire its marble palaces, mosques and royal pavilions, including the Diwan e Am and Shah Jahani Mahal, with wonderful views across to the Taj Mahal and the Yamuna River.
We then visit the iconic Taj Mahal, built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of Mumtaz Mahal. This breath-taking white marble monument, created by 20,000 craftsmen over 17 years, is one of India’s most famous landmarks and a true symbol of love.
Please note the Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays.
We take some time out to relax in the afternoon.
Afternoon Tea - Overlooking Taj Mahal
In the afternoon we gather together to enjoy a cup of tea. Sit back and relax and soak up our surroundings as we savour a cup of tea, and admire the Taj Mahal as our backdrop in the distance. What a way to end our final day in Agra.
Fatehpur Sikri (Ghost City) Enroute to Jaipur
Depart Agra for Jaipur by Coach - Full Day
This morning we set off for Jaipur in our coach, with a stop at the extraordinary Fatehpur Sikri, just 40 kilometres from Agra.
Built in 1569 by Emperor Akbar in honour of the Sufi saint Salim Chishti, this impressive red sandstone city once served as the Mughal capital. Although it was only occupied for 14 years, its palaces and courtyards remain wonderfully preserved. The city was eventually abandoned due to a shortage of water.
As we explore this fascinating ‘Ghost City’, we visit the grand Jama Masjid, the beautiful tomb of Salim Chishti and the elegant Panch Mahal Palace, discovering the splendour and power of the Mughal Empire at its height before continuing our journey to Jaipur.
The journey today will take approximately six hours with comfort stops (240km). Relax and soak up the views on our journey from Agra, Uttar Pradesh to the Rajasthani jewel, Jaipur.
Jaipur Arrival - Relax in Hotel
We arrive in the evening, check in, and soak up our new surroundings in Jaipur. We spend the next two nights here in Jaipur.
Jaipur Tour – The Pink City of Rajasthan
Amber Fort, City Palace & Jantar Mantar
This morning on our full day tour we discover the jewels of Jaipur starting with the magnificent Amber Fort, a classic and romantic Rajasthani fort palace. While its rugged exterior reflects the passage of time, the interiors are truly spectacular, with colourful miniature paintings, intricate carvings and glittering mirror work. We visit the Jag Mandir, also known as the Hall of Victory, and admire the famous Sheesh Mahal, where walls and ceilings are inlaid with sparkling mirrors, some imported from Belgium.
Later in the afternoon, we explore more highlights including the grand City Palace Jaipur, the former royal residence, now partly a museum and still home to the Jaipur royal family. Here we see impressive courtyards and the Armoury Museum, displaying historic pistols, swords and daggers once used by the royals.
Hawa Mahal & Jantar Mantar
Next, we view the beautiful Hawa Mahal (fondly known as "Palace of Winds") from the outside, with its delicate honeycomb windows, an iconic image of Jaipur.
After we discover the fascinating observatory built by the Maharaja of Jaipur Jantar Mantar, a collection of nineteen astronomical instruments, marvel at the wonder of this array of displays.
We return to our hotel late in the afternoon after our busy day discovering the highlights of Jaipur.
Relax and enjoy our last night in Jaipur.
Transfer to the district of Jodhpur - Luni by Coach
Village of Chanwa in Luni - Full Day
Today, we transfer by coach to the village of Chanwa in Luni, a district of Jodhpur, the second largest city in Rajasthan. The journey will take approximately six (330km) with comfort stops along the way.
Sit back and watch the countryside change as we make our way towards the blue city of Jodhpur, a perfect time to listen to that podcast or audio book.
Chanwa - Cooking Demonstration & tea
We have arrived in Luni!
Let's get together and savour a nice refreshing cup of tea or coffee and enjoy a cooking demonstration with the hotel's Chef who will introduce us to some popular Rajasthani dishes. Discover some new culinary skills as we watch our chef in action. Sit back and soak up our new surroundings in the countryside.
Jodhpur Tour – The Blue City - Full Day
Half Day Guided tour of Jodhpur
Today we discover the highlights of Jodhpur, beginning with a visit to the mighty Mehrangarh Fort. Stretching 5 kilometres and perched 125 metres above the city, this is one of the most impressive forts in Rajasthan.
Inside, we explore magnificent palaces adorned with beautifully carved panels and latticed windows known as jharokhas. We visit the elegant Moti Mahal, Phool Mahal and Sheesh Mahal, along with the Sileh Khana and Daulat Khana, each offering a glimpse into the splendour and grandeur of a bygone royal era.
We then continue to Jaswant Thada, a graceful cluster of white marble cenotaphs built in 1899 in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II.
After our morning visit, we return to our hotel and enjoy the afternoon at leisure.
Optional Village Walking Experience
For those who want to experience more, take the opportunity of an optional local village walk.
Discover the local Luni village. We begin at a small temple, located just opposite our hotel, where we join the evening aarti ceremony and experience this special moment of prayer and tradition.
We then take a gentle walk through the village streets, stopping at a family home to share a cup of tea and friendly conversation. This is a lovely opportunity to experience authentic village life and witness how traditional communities are gradually evolving into small towns.
This excursion is only bookable locally and subject to minimum numbers.
Ranakpur Jain Temple & Transfer to Udaipur
Transfer to Udaipur Venice of the East
Today we travel by coach to Udaipur, widely known as the City of the Lakes and one of Rajasthan’s most scenic destinations. Often referred to as the “Venice of the East”, Udaipur is set around tranquil waters and historic palaces. Its most famous landmark is the impressive Lake Palace, which appears to float in the centre of Lake Pichola.
En route, we stop in Ranakpur to visit one of the largest and most beautiful Jain temples in India. Renowned for its detailed marble architecture and peaceful setting, Ranakpur Jain Temple is a highlight of any Rajasthan tour.
Our journey to Udaipur is approximately 269 kilometres and takes around six hours by coach. On arrival, we check in and spend the next two nights here. Savour a relaxing evening after our journey today.
Udaipur – City Palace & Lake Pichola Cruise
Visit the City Palace Museum
This morning we enjoy a guided tour of Udaipur, beginning at the impressive City Palace, built in 1725. The palace complex includes Dilkhush Mahal, the ornate Sheesh Mahal with its Belgian mirrors, Moti Mahal and the Palace of Lord Krishna, all richly decorated and showcasing fine Rajasthani craftsmanship.
We continue to Jagdish Temple, built in 1651 and dedicated to Lord Vishnu, followed by a visit to Saheliyon Ki Bari, known for its gardens and fountains. We also drive around Fateh Sagar Lake, enjoying views of the surrounding hills.
Cruise Lake Pichola by Boat
Later this afternoon, we take a boat ride on Lake Pichola, which is approximately four kilometres long and three kilometres wide. Surrounded by palaces, temples and ghats, the lake offers excellent views of the city, including the island palace Jag Niwas (please note the boat ride is subject to availability of water levels in the lake).
Later, we return to our hotel and enjoy our last evening at leisure in Udaipur.
Fly Udaipur to Delhi & Visit Qutub Minar
Delhi Arrival & Tour
Today we transfer by coach to Udaipur airport for our internal flight to Delhi.
After our arrival in Delhi airport, we transfer towards our hotel. First we have more to discover in Delhi, with a visit to the 12th century Qutab Mina, gracefully hand-carved and withstood the ravages of time.
After our excursion, we transfer to our hotel and check in for the evening. The rest of the day is yours to do some last-minute souvenir shopping, soaking up the atmosphere, or relaxing.
Please note flight tickets and times for Udaipur to Delhi will be given to you locally by your guide.
Depart Delhi, India for Home

Today we say farewell to our journey through India’s Golden Triangle and beyond, taking home wonderful memories of the iconic cities, historic landmarks and cultural highlights we have experienced together.
We transfer to Delhi airport for our return flights home.
