American Holidays 2025

Constructed in 1926, Route 66 became known as the “Main Street of America”, as it wound through towns, trading posts and small communities across the United States. Originally a major trucking route for agriculture, it also became the main road for migrants travelling from the Dust Bowl to California during the Great Depression. Route 66 was officially removed from the US Highway System in 1985 and the sections of the road that remain are now known as Historic Route 66. On our holidays including Route 66, we’ll travel the road that has become a symbol of American history and culture.

The United States is home to a variety of different cultures and depending on where you travel to, you can experience vastly different holidays. The country’s south eastern region is known for its musical heritage, Antebellum history and distinct culinary style. This area, known as the Deep South, commonly refers to the states of Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, Mississippi, and Louisiana. On our holidays to the Deep South, we’ll journey through some of the most beautiful and historic towns and cities of this interesting region including New Orleans, Nashville and Memphis. 

Known for some of the most famous landmarks in the United States, the East Coast is full of important historical sites and fast-paced, buzzing urban centres. Cities like Boston and Philadelphia are great for history buffs interested in the American Revolution while New York City’s cultural melting pot makes it an entirely unique destination. For those interested in getting some fresh air, the countryside of New England is located just past the bright lights and big cities. On our holidays to the East Coast, we’ll have the opportunity to explore all of these highlights and more.

The large size and diverse landscape of the United States lends itself to some of the most vast and beautiful parks in the world. With over 60 to choose from, it’s hard to pick which of these amazing natural wonders to see first.
