Experience the very best of India on this 14-night solo traveller holiday with visits to iconic sites including the Taj Mahal and the magical city of Udaipur, which is known as the “Venice of the East.” Our Indian trip will start in Delhi, where we’ll see Qutub Minar, the world’s tallest brick minaret and later that evening, we’ll get to know our fellow travellers over dinner. We’ll continue our holiday by exploring ancient palaces and monuments, proud fortresses, mosques and bustling cities. We’ll take a rickshaw ride through Old Delhi’s vibrant streets and awaken our senses with a kaleidoscope of colour and sound in its buzzing markets. In Agra, we’ll be in awe of the most famous monument to love, the Taj Mahal*. We’ll also visit the Amber Fort in the Pink City of Jaipur and, of course, we’ll have plenty of time at leisure to discover India at your own pace or with your fellow travellers. *In order to preserve the beauty and integrity of the iconic monument, the Taj Mahal, cleaning and restoration work is ongoing at this site. Some phases of the restoration involve scaffolding and mud treatment, thus a clear view of the entire monument may not be possible.

Let's set off for our holiday to India. We begin our journey to Delhi, for a once in a lifetime journey to India.

We have arrived, we meet our local representative and transfer to our hotel, where we will spend the next two nights in Delhi.
Guided Tour of New Delhi
In the afternoon (depending on our flight schedule, this excursion may take place the following day), we’ll enjoy a guided tour of New Delhi. Marvel at the 12th-century Qutub Minar, the world’s tallest brick minaret, standing an impressive 100 metres high! This intricately carved tower has stood the test of time for over 800 years. After our visit, we’ll transfer to our hotel in time for dinner.

Delhi - Rickshaw Ride - Raj Ghat & More
Delhi Highlights Tour - Half Day
After breakfast, we’ll set off to explore the sights and sounds of bustling Old Delhi, starting with a cycle rickshaw ride through the lively streets. Next, we visit Raj Ghat, the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi, where an eternal flame marks the spot of his cremation.
From there, we’ll admire the Jama Masjid Mosque from the outside and visit the Bangla Sahib Sikh Temple. You’ll have time to browse for souvenirs and soak up the vibrant atmosphere of Chandni Chowk, one of Delhi’s most colourful markets.
In the afternoon, we head to New Delhi to see Humayun’s Tomb, a stunning 16th-century building and the final resting place of Emperor Humayun. Along the way, we drive past India Gate, the war memorial dedicated to India’s fallen soldiers, the President’s residence, and a fascinating mix of Victorian architecture.
Please note: This can be a full-day excursion if the excursion doesn't take place on arrival day due to flight timings. We return to our hotel after a day full of discoveries.
To Agra by Coach & Agra Fort
Transfer to Agra & Agra Fort - Full Day
We depart Delhi early and make our way to Agra where we will spend the night. The journey to Agra will take approximately four hours (210km) with comfort stops along the way.
Agra Fort UNESCO World Heritage Site
We have arrived in Agra! Let's get ready to discover Agra Fort on a guided tour, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the finest Mughal forts in India. Built in the 11th century, era marked by invasions and battles, this red stone-fortified castle was the site of the India Rebellion of 1857.
After we take time out with a rejuvenating cup of tea with the majestic Taj Mahal as our backdrop in the distance, as the sun begins to set, casting a glow over this iconic monument. It’s an experience to remember.
Afterward we make our way to our hotel and relax for the evening. Tomorrow, we have an early start to see the magnificent and awe inspiring Taj Mahal.
Taj Mahal at Sunrise & Fatehpur Sikri
Visit The Taj Mahal
This morning we rise early to witness the breathtaking Taj Mahal at sunrise, an unforgettable highlight of any Golden Triangle holiday. Watching the sun appear over this magnificent monument to love is a truly magical experience. The soft morning light offers the perfect chance to capture beautiful photographs of one of the world’s most iconic landmarks. Built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife, the Taj Mahal remains one of India’s most treasured sights. After soaking up the views, we return to the hotel for a well-deserved breakfast.
Travel to Jaipur & Fatehpur Sikri
After breakfast we set off by coach for Jaipur, famously known as the Pink City. Today’s journey covers around 235 kilometres and will take approximately seven hours, with comfort stops along the way. En route we explore the fascinating red sandstone city of Fatehpur Sikri, located just 40 kilometres from Agra. Built by Emperor Akbar in 1569, this former Mughal capital was the heart of the empire from 1571 to 1585. By evening we arrive in Jaipur, where we check in to our hotel and settle down for a two-night stay.
Jaipur - The "Pink City" & Jewel of India

Today we enjoy a full-day guided tour of Jaipur, India’s famous Pink City. We begin with a visit to the magnificent Amber Fort, a stunning Hindu fort that overlooks the shimmering waters of Lake Maota. Later we explore the City Palace Museum, once the residence of the Maharaja of Jaipur, where we discover beautiful architecture and a fascinating collection of royal treasures.
Uncover the Wonder of Jantar Mantar Sun Dial
Uncover the wonder of Jaipur as we continue our guided tour of the Pink City. See the awe-inspiring Jantar Mantar, an impressive collection of astronomical instruments including the world’s largest stone sundial. We then visit the striking Hawa Mahal, also known as the Palace of Winds, with its beautiful honeycomb façade designed for royal ladies to view the city in privacy. After discovering the jewels of Jaipur, we return to our hotel to relax and unwind for the evening.
Transfer by coach to Jodhpur - Village of Chanwa
Journey to Luni - Chanwa Village
Today we travel by coach to Luni, a district close to Jodhpur, the second largest city in Rajasthan. Our journey covers around 330 kilometres and will take approximately six and a half hours, with comfort stops along the way. On arrival, we stay in the charming village of Chanwa in Luni, offering a more authentic glimpse of rural Rajasthan.

Take in the Wonder of Jodhpur "Blue City"
Half Day Guided Tour of Jodhpur
Today we enjoy a guided tour of Jodhpur, once the seat of the Rathore rulers in the princely state of Rajasthan. We uncover the splendour of Mehrangarh Fort, an imposing hilltop fortress that also featured in the film The Dark Knight Rises. Our tour continues to Jaswant Thada, a striking royal cenotaph built entirely from white marble, often referred to as the Taj Mahal of Marwar. After our morning visits, we return to our hotel to relax.
Village Safari and Shikar Dinner - Luni
This afternoon we set out on a safari to explore the rustic and rural side of Rajasthan. Travelling off-road, we keep a lookout for local wildlife and birdlife before visiting traditional villages. Here we meet communities such as the Bishnois, Rajputs, Raikas and Brahmins, gaining an insight into their way of life. We also see local craftsmen, including potters and weavers, at work in their villages.
Our excursion concludes by a picturesque lakeside, where we enjoy a traditional style Rajasthani Shikar dinner. Once a celebrated hunting feast, this special meal offers us the chance to savour an authentic experience while reflecting on our final night in Luni.
Travel by Coach to Udaipur – The Venice of the East
Discover Ranakpur Jain Temple on the Way to Udaipur
Today we travel by coach to Udaipur, famously known as the City of Lakes and often called the “Venice of the East.” The city’s crown jewel, is the Lake Palace, which sits gracefully in the middle of Lake Pichola.
En route, we stop at Ranakpur to explore one of India’s largest and most stunning Jain temples, renowned for its intricate marble architecture. Today’s journey covers approximately 269 kilometres and will take around six hours, with stops along the way. On arrival in Udaipur, we check in to our hotel for a two-night stay.

Visit the City Palace Museum
This morning we take in the beauty of the City Palace Museum on a guided morning excursion and soak up the atmosphere of the spectacular garden of Saheliyon-ki-Bari, which is brimming with lotus ponds, marble elephants and gushing fountains.
Boat Cruise on Lake Pichola
Later in the afternoon we take a leisurely boat cruise on the serene and beautiful Lake Pichola (boat ride is subject to availability of water in the lake).
Fly from Udaipur to Delhi
Transfer to Delhi
Today we say farewell to Udaipur and transfer by coach to Udaipur airport for our internal flight to Delhi. On arrival in Delhi airport, we transfer to our hotel. The rest of the day is yours to do some last-minute souvenir shopping, soaking up the atmosphere, or relaxing.

Discover Dubai at your leisure for the next two full days. Enjoy an independent stay in Dubai, a cosmopolitan city where the traditional and contemporary meet. You could visit Jumeirah Mosque, Dubai’s largest mosque, or Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, and enjoy a bird’s eye view of the city. Or you could relax on the beach - after getting lost in the Dubai Mall, which features over 1,200 retail stores !
