Our team, like our tours are worldwide as in every location and we recruit the most passionate and knowledgeable guides to bring your holiday to life with local insights and tips. Leadership, IT & Finance

Bob Haugh


Bob started Travel Department to offer the Irish market travel opportunities that simply didn’t exist. Bob regularly takes to the open road on his motorcycle, many of Travel Department’s destinations are inspired by these road trips, exploring every nook and cranny around the world.

Sara Zimmerman


Sara has extensive experience in travel, working for brands including Thomson Holidays, easyJet and Expedia. Like everyone in the team, she is passionate about travel, and about getting to know new destinations and cultures. Sara believes that working in travel is a real privilege. ‘There are not many careers where sharing a passion is at the heart of what you do.’

John Rowe

Chief Finance Officer

John is a graduate of UCD (B.Comm) and the University of Colorado (MBA) and has professional qualifications in accountancy (FCA) and taxation (AITI). He lived in the USA and Australia and loves to combine sport with travel.

Ola Soyele

Accounts Executive

Ola works in the accounts department. He has travelled to Beijing, Rome, Barcelona, Madeira, Lisbon, Lake Garda, Verona, Istanbul and Vancouver as well as many other destinations. His favourite destination is Barcelona because of its spectacular food and music. 

Diana Gola

Accounts Executive

Diana manages the financial transactions at Travel Department. Originally from Lithuania, she lived in Czech Republic before coming to Ireland. She’s been traveling to various countries, e.g. Israel, India, Nepal, the USA, Canada, and Colombia, and wants to discover new destinations.

John O'Neill

Financial Controller

John has over 10 years finance experience. He worked previously in tourism, retail and practice. He graduated from WIT, he then went on to qualify as an Accountant in 2012. His favourite destinations are Canada and New Zealand.

Molly Shao

Business Intelligent Analyst

Molly is passionate about driving efficiency and using data to enhance business decisions. Her travel highlights include solo-couch-surfing across America, Europe, Mexico and Morocco as well as road trips to Tibet and Nepal.

John Allen

IT Project Manager

John works closely with a team of developers to help create and improve Travel Department’s IT systems. In 2013 he travelled from Cape Town all the way around the garden route in South Africa.

Lukasz Kalbarczyk

Lead Software Developer

Lukasz analyses Travel Department’s business needs then designs and creates applications to make the business run smoothly. Lukasz has travelled to Italy, France, Spain and New York City. His favourite destination is Rome for its fantastic architecture, delicious food and the best coffee in the world!

Operations, Customer Service & Product

Alison Smith

HR/Office Manager

Alison is our HR / Office manager. One of her favourite trips was a 7-month long adventure visiting Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. She has skied in numerous countries. Her favourite destination is Canada.

Claire Doherty

Product Director

Claire oversees everything to do with the production of the tours from beginning to end. She has worked in travel since leaving school and loves to visit new destinations but wants to return to the Deep South USA.

Fátima Rivas

Product Manager

Fátima manages the Product team to ensure that all our tours are good value for money for our customers. Working in the travel industry gives her the opportunity to do what she loves the most – travelling and discovering new countries!

Danielle Farrell

Specialist Product Manager

Danielle manages all niche products for our adventure travel brand TD active Holidays. Danielle is extremely passionate about travel and counts Finland, Tanzania & India among some of her favourite travel destinations.


Lucy Maher

Senior Product Executive

From teaching English in Hungary to spending a year travelling around the world, Lucy has extensive experience and a passion for exploring new countries & cultures. One of her favourite destinations is Tanzania.

Leah Parmeshwar

Product Executive

Leah is a member of our Product department, specialising in long haul destinations. Leah loves travelling to exotic locations and is passionate about adventure travel, wildlife and photography. Leah’s favourite holiday destination is Colombia, Canada and Mexico.

Sabrina Mahony

Product Executive

Sabrina works in Products managing itineraries for Spain, France and cruising. A former European tour guide, she has travelled leading tours in countries from France and Spain to Norway and Turkey. Her favourite destination is South-East Asia for the food.

Niamh Dunne

Product Executive

Niamh is a member of the Products team, focusing on European destinations. Her biggest adventure to date was a 4-month solo trip around South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand in 2018. Her favourite destination is Thailand.

Kerrie Fox

Flight Inventory Supervisor

Kerrie manages all flight inventory & operations for Travel Department. Kerrie’s favourite destination is Greece, especially the Islands because of the friendly people, gorgeous food and fantastic weather.

Grace Porter

Operations Manager / Health & Safety Coordinator

Grace is responsible for the Operations and Operations Support functions within the business. Some of her favourite places she has visited include Italy, Croatia and India.

Lesley Fleming

Operations Executive

Lesley works in the Operations Department. She has travelled to Mexico, New York, Las Vegas, Florida, Greece, Paris, Italy and many other European countries. She hopes to travel to more destinations in the USA in the future!

Catriona McConn

Operations Team Leader

Catriona deals with the operational side of the majority of our long-haul tours, liaising with agents all over the world. Her greatest adventure to date was an amazing trip to South America where she explored Peru, Bolivia, Chile and Argentina.

Kristina Guscenko

Operations Team Leader

Kristina manages daily operations within Operations Department. She has explored most of Northern and Western Europe. In the future she wants to travel to Latin America to explore its rich cultural diversity.

Aine McAvinney

Operations Executive

Aine is a member of the Operations team, liaising with suppliers on a daily basis. Aine is passionate about travel and spent 8 weeks interrailing solo visiting 13 counties across Europe. Her favourite destination is New York and Lake Bled.

Adriana Olarte

Flight Inventory Administrator

Adriana has a Master’s Degree in Conservation of Cultural Heritage. Originally from Colombia, her passion to see new cultures has taken her to live in the Congo, Argentina, France and now Ireland. 

Tiziana Gizdulich

Operations Executive

Originally from Italy, Tiziana moved to Ireland in 2003. She studied Art in UCD and began working in the travel industry after her graduation. She loves travelling and has been to many places around the world: Japan, Mexico, Peru, Tanzania, Thailand and the USA, just to name a few.

Yvonne Boyle

Commercial Director

Yvonne joined Travel Department in August 2017 and has over 20 years’ experience in sales and marketing across a wide range of businesses. A seasoned traveller, Yvonne has been to many destinations near and far and favourites include Argentina, Walking (parts!) of the Camino De Santiago and Costa Rica.

Stephen Mills

General Manager, UK

Stephen oversees our UK business. Having lived and travelled in South and Central America including Ecuador, Peru, Argentina, Mexico, Panama, Cuba and Honduras – he is very much a seasoned traveller finding any excuse to visit somewhere new.

Alice Kelly

Contact Centre & Retail Sales Manager

Alice manages our Sales department, split across our call centre and front facing concession at Arnott’s. Since joining Travel Department, Alice has been bitten by the travel bug and spends her spare time planning a new destination to visit!

Gina Willcox

Content Marketing & Social Media Executive

Gina manages the social media and website content. In 2008 she travelled by bus from London to Sydney, visiting many extraordinary countries, like Iran, Pakistan and Nepal. Ever since she loves to travel to new and exciting destinations ever year!

Chris Phillips

Production Team Leader

Chris is our Senior Graphic Designer & Team Leader, he has visited many destinations across the world, and still has a few he would like to tick off his bucket list

Eve Coyle

Junior Graphic Designer

Eve creates the print and promotional material. Her favourite travel destinations are Egypt for the historic ruins, the Canaries for the sun and Italy for the food. Her dream holidays would include trips to America, Australia, India and China.

Ceara Monaghan

Sales Department Team Leader

Ceara has travelled to many Travel Department destinations and her favourite are the beautiful and incredible cities of St Petersburg and Moscow.

Caroline Gallagher

Senior Sales Executive

Caroline is a Senior Sales Executive based in Arnotts. She has travelled extensively since joining the company, some of her favourite destinations are South Africa, New York, Iceland, Moscow, St Petersburg and Tuscany.

Joanne Coll

Senior Sales Executive

Joanne has a wealth of experience in the travel industry. She has travelled extensively in Asia, The Middle East, Australia, North America and Europe, and was lucky to experience hot air ballooning and open sided helicopter rides.

Owen Kane

Sales Executive

Owen began his career in travel completing a Diploma in Travel with the Irish Travel Agents Association. He has worked for Aer Lingus and Qantas in London and his favourite destinations are Tioman Island, the South China Sea and Berlin.

Alisa Isajeva

Senior Sales Executive and Tailor Made Specialist

Alisa is very passionate about travel and finds it most rewarding that she can assist people to create magical and long-lasting memories through travel. Alisa’s favourite holiday destination is Brazil and Jordan.
