A stroll along its promenade will include stops at "Balcon de Europa" (Balcony of Europe) aptly named by King Alphons XII, and which offers beautiful Mediterranean views. You will complete your tour by enjoying tapas and drinks in one of the local bars in town (included). The afternoon will be free to spend at your leisure.
Lecrín - The Valley of Joy & Frigiliana
Visit to Lecrín
Today you will visit a delightful hidden valley, El Valle de Lecrín, which is well off the beaten track and feels like it's been frozen in time. This peaceful area is practically untouched by tourism and retains much of its local charm. After a short drive from Lanjarón, you will reach the town of Veluz de Benaudalla, which is located in the heart of the Andalucian countryside. Here you will visit a museum dedicated to the production of olive oil for which this area is famed. You will have the opportunity to taste some of the olive oil before visiting the town of Salobreña. Its beaches and pleasant temperatures make it an ideal all-year-round destination.
Travel to Frigiliana
Afterwards, continue to Frigiliana which is a beautiful white village, often voted as one of the prettiest in Spain. Here, in a quaint family-run bodega you can taste the special dessert wine which is produced only in Frigiliana, along with other local specialities such as fig bread and sugar-cane honey. After this, we will take a quiet stroll down its narrow, flower-lined streets and spend a while at leisure in the village until it is time to return to the hotel. Please note that Frigiliana is hilly, with cobbled streets, therefore sturdy footwear is strongly advised.
