Your Guided Group Holiday To The Algarve
Stretching across the southernmost tip of mainland Portugal, the Algarve is famous for its year round mild climate, fantastic beaches, dramatic landscape and quaint villages. On this 7-night holiday over New Year we'll see the very best of this great region and also enjoy evenings of excellent food and company. The Algarve is one of the most popular holiday destinations in Europe, with modern resorts offering every amenity a holidaymaker could wish for, as well as historic whitewashed towns and fishing ports, full of tradition and atmosphere. On our excursions we will visit some picturesque towns and villages including Silves and Lagos and there will also be a day trip to Seville, one of southern Spain’s most beautiful cities.

Travel to Portugal
Transfer to Albufeira
Upon arrival in Faro you will be met by our local representative and transferred to your hotel in Albufeira. You will have the remainder of the day to relax, unpack and explore Albufeira town.
Free Time in Albufeira
You will have a welcome meeting and then the day to spend at your own pace. Your guide will be happy to recommend places to see in your free time.
Lagos & Sagres
Excursion to Lagos
This morning, set off on a full day excursion which includes a visit to the charming town of Lagos. After a stop to see the spectacular rock formations at Ponta da Piedade, you'll travel along Lagos Bay where countless ships set sail in times gone by. Your guide will then accompany you on a walking tour of the town centre, passing places of historic interest including the church of Saint Anthony. After this, there will be free time to stroll through the cobbled streets, browse the souvenir shops and enjoy some lunch at one of the many cafes.
In the afternoon, depart for the fishing town of Sagres where Portugal's famous explorer Henry the Navigator embarked on his voyages of discovery. The tour then continues to Cape St. Vincent, the most south-westerly point of Europe's mainland and home to a powerful lighthouse. Enjoy breath-taking views of the unspoilt western Algarve from this rugged cliff top setting, known as 'The End of the World', before returning to your hotel.
Explore The Algarve at Your Own Pace
Today, you will have a day free for shopping and sightseeing at your own pace. Don't forget to ask your local guide for advice on what to see and do.
Guided Excursion to Seville
This morning you will be met by your local guide and travel to the beautiful city of Seville, the Moresque Capital of Andalucia. You will take a guided tour of highlights such as the Barrio de Santa Cruz, the Jewish Quarter, Maria Luisa Park, and Spanish Square. In the afternoon enjoy free time at leisure to visit the Old centre and explore the typical shops, cafes and tapas bars.
Silves & New Year's Eve
This morning, visit the well preserved historic town of Silves, an inland gem filled with beauty and history, with its Moorish castle and cathedral. Along the way, you'll travel through the Algarvian countryside and will discover some of its most beautiful and traditional villages. The afternoon is free to spend at your leisure. Tonight is New Year's Eve, time to celebrate the new year.
Explore The Algarve at Your Own Pace
Today is a free day of leisure to further relax and enjoy your surroundings. Take a long walk on the beach or simply enjoy the hotels facilities
Today, you will transfer from your hotel to the airport for your flight home, with guide assistance.
