- In order to preserve the beauty and integrity of the iconic monument, the Taj Mahal, cleaning and restoration work is ongoing at this site. Some phases of the restoration involve scaffolding and mud treatment, thus a clear view of the entire monument may not be possible.

It is time to begin our journey to India. We fly to Delhi, full of anticipation for the remarkable sights, rich culture and memorable experiences that await us.

Half Day Tour Delhi – Qutub Minar & More
On arrival in Delhi, we are welcomed by our local guide as our journey through India begins. Depending on our flight times, we either start exploring straight away or begin our sightseeing the following day.
Our half day Delhi tour introduces us to two of the city’s most significant historic landmarks. We visit Qutub Minar, the world’s tallest brick minaret and an extraordinary UNESCO listed monument that has stood for centuries. We then continue to Humayun’s Tomb, a stunning 16th century structure and the final resting place of Emperor Humayun, widely regarded as a masterpiece of Mughal architecture.

Delhi - Relax More
After a day of travel and sightseeing, the evening is free to relax and enjoy a slower pace. Later, we come together for dinner at our hotel, a lovely opportunity to unwind and get to know one another.

Breakfast and evening meals are included throughout our nine night stay in India. This includes Eight nights of dinners at our hotels, as well as a cooking demonstration in Jaipur, where we enjoy dinner and learn how to prepare some traditional Indian dishes.
Delhi To Jaipur - Rickshaw Ride, Temples, & Raj Ghat
Delhi Tour Half Day - Transfer to Jaipur by Coach
Delhi
After breakfast, we head out to explore the colour, energy and character of Old Delhi. Our morning starts with a cycle rickshaw ride through its busy lanes, giving us an up close view of daily life and the vibrant atmosphere of the city.
We then visit Raj Ghat, the peaceful memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, where an eternal flame marks the site of his cremation. Our tour continues past the impressive Jama Masjid Mosque, viewed from the outside, before we visit the Bangla Sahib Sikh Temple, one of Delhi’s most important places of worship.
Jaipur
Later in the afternoon, we travel onwards to Jaipur, widely known as the Pink City. The journey is approximately 270 kilometres and takes around five and a half hours, with comfort stops along the way. Sit back, relax and enjoy the changing scenery as the city gives way to open countryside.
Jaipur - The Jewel of India
We have arrived in the jewel of India Jaipur (fondly known as the Pink City) where we spend three nights. Let's settle in and relax after our journey.
Jaipur: City Palace, Hawa Mahal & Jantar Mantar
Jaipur - City Palace Museum & Jantar Mantar
We spend the morning exploring some of Jaipur’s most famous landmarks, starting with the City Palace Museum, once the residence of the Maharaja of Jaipur. This impressive complex offers a fascinating glimpse into royal life, with its elegant courtyards, ornate architecture and historic collections.
We then visit the UNESCO listed Jantar Mantar, home to nineteen remarkable astronomical instruments built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the founder of Jaipur.
Our sightseeing concludes at the iconic Hawa Mahal, viewed from the outside. Also known as the Palace of Winds, its distinctive honeycomb façade is one of Jaipur’s most recognisable and photographed landmarks.
Let's get Cooking - Cookery Demo
In the evening, we visit a local family for a cookery demonstration. Learn how to prepare traditional Indian dishes and freshly made breads, before enjoying a relaxed and enjoyable dinner together as a group.
Jaipur: Village Walking Tour & Amber Fort
Take in the Wonder of Amber Fort & Village
We leave our hotel to visit the impressive Amber Fort, set high above the tranquil waters of Maota Lake. We travel by jeep up to the fort entrance, a memorable approach that reflects the grandeur and royal lifestyle of the Maharajas.
After our visit, we enjoy a gentle walking tour of Amber Village, where we have the opportunity to meet local residents and observe daily life in this traditional setting. We then return to our hotel for lunch, with the remainder of the afternoon free to relax and enjoy time at leisure.
Optional tour - Jaipur City Lights & Panorama Tour
Enjoy an evening drive through Jaipur’s illuminated highlights, including Hawa Mahal, Albert Hall Museum, Jal Mahal on Amer Road, and panoramic night views from Nahargarh Fort. We also pass the brightly lit Amer Fort gates before returning to the hotel.
The tour runs in open jeeps with four to five guests per vehicle and is a relaxed, enjoyable night experience

Jaipur to Dholpur & Chand Baori Stepwell Visit
Take in the Wonder of Chand Baori Stepwell
This morning, we leave Jaipur and travel onwards to Dholpur, covering a distance of approximately 280 kilometres. Along the way, we make a scenic stop at the remarkable Chand Baori Stepwell in the village of Abhaneri, believed to be one of the largest and deepest stepwells in the world. The journey takes around six hours, with comfort stops included.
On arrival in Dholpur, we check in to our hotel for a two night stay. There is time to relax and unwind after the day’s journey.
Dholpur: Marvel at Gwalior Fort Half-Day Tour
Gwalior Fort & Gujari Mahal Museum
After breakfast, we set out on a half day guided excursion to the impressive Gwalior Fort, once regarded as one of the most impregnable fortresses in northern and central India. We then visit the Gujari Mahal Museum, originally built by Raja Man Singh as a palace for his wife, Princess Mrignayani, who requested a residence of her own befitting her royal status.
This rewarding tour is a highlight for history enthusiasts, offering insight into the grandeur, legends and intrigue of India’s former rulers.
The remainder of the afternoon and evening are free to relax at the hotel, explore independently or simply unwind and enjoy the surroundings at a gentle pace.
Dholpur to Agra - Uncover Fatehpur Sikri & Tea
Afternoon Tea with View of Taj Mahal
This morning, we depart Dholpur and travel onwards to Agra, beginning with a visit to the sacred pilgrimage site of Machkund Temple.
Along the way, we stop to explore the remarkable red sandstone city of Fatehpur Sikri, often referred to as the Ghost City. The journey covers approximately 270 kilometres and takes around three hours, including comfort stops. Built in 1569 by Emperor Akbar, Fatehpur Sikri was created in honour of the revered saint Sheikh Salim Chisti, who foretold the birth of Akbar’s three sons. Our guided tour brings the history and significance of this extraordinary former capital to life.
On arrival in Agra, there is time to relax with a cup of tea while taking in beautiful views of the Taj Mahal in the distance. On clear days, the setting sun bathes this iconic monument in a warm golden light, creating a memorable end to the day.
Agra: Sunrise at Taj Mahal
Fall in Love with the Iconic Taj Mahal & Agra Fort
We begin the day with an unforgettable sunrise visit to Agra’s most celebrated landmark, the Taj Mahal. As the first light of morning softly illuminates the marble, we admire the beauty and elegance of one of the world’s greatest symbols of love. Sunrise provides ideal conditions for photography, with gentle light creating a magical atmosphere around this iconic mausoleum, built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife. It is easy to see why the Taj Mahal is considered one of India’s most treasured highlights.
We then continue with a guided tour of Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the finest examples of Mughal architecture in India. This vast red sandstone fortress has played a significant role in the country’s history, including during the Indian Rebellion of 1857. From within the fort, we enjoy views across the Yamuna River, with the Taj Mahal visible in the distance.

Today we say goodbye to Agra and transfer to Delhi by coach, the journey will take approximately five hours (237 km) with comfort stops.
