Your Guided Group Christmas Holiday To Austria
This festive season, experience a magical Christmas in the incredible setting of the Austrian Alps. Stay in the pretty town of Brixen im Thale in the Brixental valley, where we can admire the surrounding snowy mountain scenery. We'll explore the magnificent Kaiser Mountains and nearby alpine towns of Rattenberg where we have the chance to take a horse-drawn sleigh ride, along with Kufstein, Hall and Innsbruck on guided excursions. We will also enjoy a full day visit to the scenic city of Salzburg, where we can see the birthplace of Mozart as well as the Mirabell Gardens, where part of The Sound of Music was famously filmed. This year celebrate Christmas Day and enjoy a tasty Christmas dinner among new friends as part of an unforgettable yule time experience.

Travel to Austria
Upon arrival in Munich, Germany you will be met by your local guide who will assist you in the transfer to your hotel in Brixen im thale, Austria.

Upon arrival you will gather with your fellow travellers to enjoy some festive cake with a cup of tea or coffee in the hotel. Followed by an afternoon at leisure to explore the beautiful surroundings.

Emperor Mountain Range & Kufstein
Experience Emperor Mountain Range
Morning
Today you will embark on a full day excursion around the scenic mountain region of Kaisergebirge, known for its unspoiled nature and abundant wildlife. The "Kaisergebirge" mountain range nature conservation area incorporates all of the summits of the Wilder (Wild) and Zahmer Kaiser (Tame Emperor) mountain ranges.
Visit Kufstein
Afternoon
In the afternoon, continue your journey to the charming town of Kufstein, known as the Pearl of Tyrol. Here you will take a stroll around the town centre and visit the impressive Kufstein Fortress (entrance included). This fortress serves as a venue for a variety of events, including the annual Operetta Summer, and is home to the Heldenorgel, or 'Hero's Organ', the largest open-air organ in the world.

This evening, you can attend the Christmas Holy Mass at the village’s local church to celebrate Austria’s Christmas Day (guide to advise on time locally).

Innsbruck & Swarovski Crystal World
Visit Hall & Innsbruck

Following breakfast, embark on a morning excursion to the town of Hall, renowned in former times for printing coins. From there, continue your journey to Innsbruck where your guide will take you on a city tour through the fascinating late-medieval old town, including the Wilten Abbey Basilica and Ambras Castle. Innsbruck's most famous sight is the Golden Roof, slated with 2,657 fire-gilded copper shingles, and located in the heart of the historic district.
Discover Swarovski Crystal World
Afternoon
Roughly twenty minutes from Innsbruck is the small town of Watten, where you will stop for a visit to the enchanting Swarovski Crystal World. Discover its subterranean labyrinth of crystalline chambers and its marvellous new garden, the Crystal Cloud, which floats above a black Mirror Pool adorned with 800,000 hand-mounted Swarovski crystals.

This evening, enjoy a complimentary cocktail followed by a tasty Christmas buffet dinner with live music at your hotel to celebrate Christmas Day.

Guided Tour of Salzburg

After breakfast, travel by coach to the baroque city of Salzburg. Enjoy a guided tour of the city's highlights including the beautiful Mirabell Gardens, the pedestrianized street Getreidegasse where Mozart was born, the UNESCO-listed old town and much more. In the afternoon you will have free time to explore or shop at your own leisure. Your local guide will be happy to offer suggestions of activities to suit your interests.
