Your Guided Solo Traveller Holiday to the Algarve 

The Algarve is known for its year round mild climate and beautiful scenery, so it's the perfect place to relax, unwind and escape the madness of Christmas! At the start of your Algarve holiday, there will be an opportunity to socialise with your fellow travellers during your ‘Welcome drink and meal.’  We'll enjoy guided excursions to the charming town of Lagos and visit the magnificent cliffs of Cape St Vincent, also known as 'The End of the World'. Our local guide will also take us on a day trip to Seville, the beautiful capital of Andalucía. This Christmas getaway to Portugal also includes plenty of leisure time, our local guide can provide recommendations on the best beaches, bars, shops, restaurants and local markets to visit near your resort. A traditional Christmas isn’t for everyone, and if you’d like to get away from it all this December, then a trip to the Algarve could be perfect for you!

Upon arrival in Faro you will be met by our local representative and transferred to your hotel. You will have the remainder of the day to relax, unpack and explore.

After breakfast you will have a welcome meeting at your hotel. During the meeting your guide will provide lots of tips and information about the local area to help get your holiday off to a great start! You will also receive suggestions of ways to spend your free days to suit your specific interests. You will have the day at leisure to relax at your hotel, stroll to the beach, or explore Albufeira.  In the evening there will be an opportunity to join fellow travellers in a 'Welcome drink' followed by your evening meal.

Lagos & Sagres

Visit Lagos

This morning, set off on a full day excursion which includes a visit to the charming town of Lagos. After a stop to see the spectacular rock formations at Ponta da Piedade, you’ll travel along Lagos Bay where countless ships set sail in times gone by. Your guide will then accompany you on a walking tour of the town centre, passing places of historic interest including the church of Saint Anthony. After this, there will be free time to stroll through the cobbled streets, browse the souvenir shops and enjoy some lunch at one of the many cafes.

Discover Sagres

In the afternoon, depart for the fishing town of Sagres where Portugal’s famous explorer Henry the Navigator embarked on his voyages of discovery. The tour then continues to Cape St. Vincent, the most south-westerly point of Europe’s mainland and home to a powerful lighthouse. Enjoy breath-taking views of the unspoilt western Algarve from this rugged cliff top setting, known as ‘The End of the World’, before returning to your hotel.

Guided Day Trip To Seville

This morning you will be met by your local guide and travel to the beautiful city of Seville, the Moresque Capital of Andalucia. You will take a guided tour of highlights such as the Barrio de Santa Cruz, the Jewish Quarter, Maria Luisa Park, and Spanish Square.  In the afternoon enjoy free time at leisure to visit the Old centre and explore the typical shops, cafes and tapas bars.


Silves & Christmas Eve Dinner

This morning, visit the well preserved historic town of Silves, an inland gem filled with beauty and history, with its Moorish castle and cathedral. Along the way, you’ll travel through the Algarvian countryside and will discover some of its most beautiful and traditional villages. The afternoon is free to spend at your leisure.
