This wonderful settlement is home to the Parthenon, a beautiful Doric temple, and the Erechtheion, a temple dedicated to Poseidon. You will also see the Panathinaikos Stadium, host of the first modern Olympic Games and the only stadium in the world that is entirely built of marble.

Cruise to the Three Beautiful Islands of the Saronic Gulf
Your day begins with an early transfer from your hotel to the port, where you will cruise to the three beautiful islands of the Saronic Gulf; Hydra, Poros and Aegina (lunch included). Your guide will help you to become acquainted with the ship and give you information regarding the programme for the day, including details of the optional activities you can book while on the cruise (not included). Hydra, with its close proximity to Athens, is a very popular weekend destination. The harbour boasts traditional stone houses and mansions surrounded by crystal clear waters. Motor vehicles are prohibited on the small island ; traversing the narrow stone-paved streets is on foot or by traditional "vehicle" ; the saddled donkey. Poros, the smallest of the three islands that you'll visit, has the benefit of the narrow strait, offering a most enchanting view of the town of Poros. On Aegina, the largest of the three islands, there will be free time to visit the Temple of Afea or the Church of Saint Nektarios, whose relics are display. Or you can spend your time enjoying the cafes and shops, before heading back to Athens.
