Let’s take a festive getaway close to home and spend Christmas in Galway. We’ll explore the ‘City of Tribes’ on a guided tour and uncover Galway’s fascinating history. At our welcome reception at our hotel we’ll be greeted with an inviting glass of mulled wine and delicious mince pies, later we’ll enjoy some evening entertainment. On the magical day itself, we can relax and let someone else take care of all the usual Christmas preparations. On Saint Stephen’s Day, we’ll take a guided excursion to the Connemara region, one of the most idyllic parts of Ireland filled with mountains, lakes and rivers. We’ll also visit some lovely villages, including Cong, which was made famous by the film ‘The Quiet Man’ starring John Wayne. Escape to the West of Ireland this year and experience a memorable Christmas in Galway.

Join us and meet with our expert guide in Dublin city centre this morning for your three-night Christmas trip to Galway.
Details of the pickup point in Dublin and final timing will be advised closer to departure date. Estimated start time is 09:30am.
Travelling by coach, we make our way to Galway.
Galway Panoramic Tour
On arrival, we will have some free time for lunch before taking in the highlights of Galway on a panoramic tour, taking in the city’s famous sites such as the Salmon Weir Bridge, Collegiate of St Nicholas of Myra, Shop Street and Eyre Square. We’ll have some free time at leisure to soak up the special Christmas atmosphere before checking into our hotel located in Salthill.
Mulled Wine Reception
Check in to our hotel and begin the festive celebrations with a mulled wine & mince pies reception! The rest of your afternoon is at leisure to relax in your hotel or discover the facilities it has on offer. Your guide will be happy to assist with information and provide recommendations for local activities. Tonight, join us for our Christmas Eve dinner in our hotel.
Breakfast, dinner and evening entertainment at your hotel are included every day during your tour.
This morning we will start Christmas day with a Champagne buffet breakfast followed by free time at leisure to enjoy your surroundings or take this opportunity to enjoy a stroll along Salthill Promenade or avail of the leisure facilities on offer.
Christmas Day Lunch
This afternoon we’ll gather together again for a festive lunch as the celebrations continue. The rest of our afternoon is at leisure to enjoy the holiday atmosphere in our hotel before it’s time to dine again!
Christmas Day Dinner
Tonight, join us for Christmas evening buffet dinner in our hotel restaurant.
Guided Tour of Connemara
After breakfast, we will depart for a guided excursion to Connemara, dubbed as a place of “savage beauty” by Oscar Wilde. With its rugged scenery, lakes, bogs, rivers, mountains, and picturesque villages, little has changed over time in this spellbinding landscape. Included today are stops in Leenane, Letterfrack, and Cong, famously the location for the film ‘The Quiet Man’.
Returning to our hotel in the late afternoon we will enjoy some free time before our farewell dinner at the hotel.
Depart for Dublin
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and depart for Dublin’s fair city. Arrive back to Dublin in the afternoon and say goodbye to your new friends, with fond memories of your Christmas visit to Galway.
