Explore the Dalmatian Coast with us on our guided group holidays to Croatia. We’ll be based near the coastal and medieval city of Sibenik, which is full of culture, history and beaches.
One of the must-see sights in Sibenik is the magnificent Cathedral of St. James, often known as St. Jacob. A UNESCO Heritage Site and is believed to be the world’s largest church built entirely from stone without wooden supports or structure. Construction began in 1431 and was not completed until 1536.
We’ll enjoy a boat trip to Zlarin Island or ‘Golden Island’, which is renowned for the unspoilt beauty of its beaches, coves and green pine forests. We’ll also learn more about its Coral harvesting industry, where they create beautiful jewellery and ornaments.
The smallest island in Sibenik archipelago and one of the best places to experience authentic Dalmatian culture. The island is also known for its 16th Century Franciscan church Monastery, sponge industry and is a popular spot for diving.
On our Dalmatian Coast holidays, we’ll take a guided tour of this fascinating medieval town with its narrow lanes, stone houses and historic sights. One of the top attractions in Trogir is the Cathedral of St Lawrence, which took so long to be built that it demonstrates various architectural styles that were popular throughout the centuries. We’ll also see the Cipiko Palaces, once home to local nobility in the 15th century and its city walls.
Split is Croatia’s second largest city and offers the perfect blend of historic sites and lively atmosphere. We’ll take a walking tour and see the main highlights of Split, including Diocletian’s Palace which is in the heart of the old town and visit St. Domnius Cathedral. This was originally built as a mausoleum for the Roman Emperor Diocletian, but was later converted to a Catholic cathedral, which is now considered the oldest in the world.
On this wonderful holiday to Croatia, we'll be based near the seaside town of Sibenik, a fascinating historical city renowned for its beautiful beaches and the gateway to the Kornati Islands. We'll enjoy guided excursions to Split and Trogir and get a taste of Croatia's islands with a boat trip to the Golden Island and Krapanj. We'll uncover Dalmatian culture and history and have plenty of time at leisure to take in our spectacular surroundings, soak up the sun or explore more of this magnificent region.
Travel Department holidays include flights, transfers and hotel accommodation on bed and breakfast, half board or full board basis, and excursions as specified.
All items that are included are clearly stated in our documentation. Add-ons such as insurance, bags and single room supplements are mentioned separately. In some cases you may have to pay a local departure tax or local transport cost. This will be detailed in your documentation and our local guides will assist you with these. Tipping is not included in your holiday price and information regarding tipping will also be included with your travel documents.
You will be met on arrival at your destination airport and transferred to your accommodation. You will be accompanied on all included excursions by your Travel Department guide. Your expert local guide is also available to give you tips and advice on any aspect of your holiday.
Deposit is required on booking and is dependent on your holiday type and starts at €100pp for city breaks. Full payment is due 10 weeks before departure hence if you book less than 10 weeks from departure full payment will be due when you book.
